The power is yourrrrrrrrs! It’s that time of year when we must pass the torch on to new members to step up and lead VSA for the new year! I hope this has been a great year for you because as cabinet we’ve really worked hard for the members so that you can enjoy it!

*sniffle I know you want us to stay… but we can’t stick around forever! Many of us got to graduate you know! =P So come support the new cabinet! We’ve got some great people, your peers, running this year and they need your votes!

Remember that only MEMBERS may vote for Elections defined as people who attend at least 50% of general meetings per quarter. However, we welcome any friends who want to come cheer for our candidates! =]

Elections will be taking place in our meeting room, SST220 this Thursday at 6:30pm! Be there! This will be the last time we meet here (I know, I miss it already too)!

It’s that open jam session VSA is hosting every quarter! Bring your talents or your friends and enjoy the show! Everyone from anywhere are welcomed to participate in this mini showcase.

If you sing, SING! If you dance, DANCE! If you do tricks, do TRICKS! If you make jokes, make JOKES! If you have friends who do something cool, bring them to do some COOL!! It’s all gravy! We will have a sign up sheet the day of posted and all you have to do is sign up to perform!

Come early because you won’t want to miss all the exciting acts we have! It always surprises me how much talent goes unseen until VSA by Night…

Last week we met UCR. This week we’re meeting our UCI friend CA! Chinese Association, I’ve heard, is ginormous! There’s like 100s of members big! Isn’t that cool? But they’re going to make some time to hang out with us, VSA! Woot Woot!
 
So how do we like to bond with CA each year?? By gambling!! Hahaha It’s our annual Casino Night with CA this Thursday! We’re going to have poker, blackjack, bau cua ca cop, mahjong, and even board games for those who don’t want to gamble. There will be snacks and refreshments so mingle the night away and I hope lady luck is with you!

It’s round twooooo of nominations!!! I wonder who will be the next Secretary… it’s only the Bestest position ever!!! Hahaha all positions on cabinet are great in their own way and each one is essential for the making of new year’s success.
 
I encourage you to really think about it because you can make a difference when on cab. It also looks good on your grad school apps or resume to have leadership experience! Doubly sweet! =]
 
Remember: this week is the last round of nominations then next week is elections! Any member can be nominated or can choose to nominate himself/herself. Nominees who are interested in running must submit a short application. Running candidates will make a speech and have rounds of questions and answer next week in elections!
